Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
• 7+ years of experience coding with Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala
• 3+ years of experience with database management systems
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and virtualization tools
• 4+ years of experience contributing to open source frameworks
• 3+ years of experience with front-end JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• 4+ years of experience creating APIs (synchronous/asynchronous)
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD, infra-as-code, testing frameworks
• 3+ years of experience with Git-based version control
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting cloud environments
• Experience with interactive AI tooling and copilots
• 1+ year mentoring engineers and driving dev within teams
• 1+ year observability and performance optimization
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts
• Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems
• Mentor engineers, participate in tech communities, and stay current with trends
• Deliver cloud-based solutions and collaborate with product managers to provide strong customer experiences
• Utilize Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
• Provide technical leadership across Agile teams, set design and operational standards
• Define service boundaries and reusable frameworks with architects
• Drive refactoring and reduce technical debt to improve performance
• Influence long-term tech strategy with emerging tools and practices
