Job summary

Nylon is seeking a software engineer to own the architecture, delivery, and production excellence of a product surface from ideation to production. You will iterate on real usage, ensure health and observability, and drive performance improvements across the stack.

With 5+ years of commercial software development, you will apply AI tooling to accelerate shipping, and collaborate in a fast-growing AI research platform used by tax and law professionals across NZ, AU, and the UK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience, with evidence of ownership from design to production.
• High agency, biased toward action, and able to decompose hard problems and reason in trade-offs.
• Experience using AI tooling to ship faster, and curiosity about future developments.
• Right to work in Australia (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of your assigned product surface.
• Work with product from ideation to production, iterating on real usage and feedback.
• Ensure production health, observability, and performance for the systems you build.
