Job summary

Appnovation Technologies is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer (AI & Data Platform) in New York. You will design and implement backend automation and agent-enabled apps that transform catalogue and metadata into governed software.

You will deliver user-facing interfaces for discovery workflows and production-ready services, with strong Python on the backend (FastAPI) and modern frontend (React/Vue.js). Collaboration across data governance and engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years of software engineering with a strong focus on fullstack development.
• Experience using AI-powered tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of data-engineering principles and catalogues/metadata outputs.
• Strong Python engineering: API design (FastAPI), asynchronous programming, Pydantic/JSON Schema.
• Understanding of Graph RAG data structures.
• Experience with Neo4j and Supabase.
• Proficiency in React and Vue.js; ES6/TypeScript.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with testing and modern DevOps practices; AWS and serverless.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend automation that integrates multiple metadata sources and generates governed artifacts.
• Design and build agent-enabled applications and workflows, including MCP servers and tools.
• Build user-facing interfaces for platform and discovery workflows.
• Deliver production-quality services with sound API design, testing, and CI/CD practices.
