Job summary

Willis Re is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build modern, cloud-native software across the stack for reinsurance analytics and client platforms. You will develop APIs, services and responsive UIs, leverage Azure and IaC, and infuse AI-enabled features into products used by brokers and analysts.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, security, and collaboration with product stakeholders. Strong back-end and frontend skills, plus experience with data-heavy apps and AI are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping production systems end to end; insurance/financial services a plus.
• Strong API design and database / SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship features end to end across APIs, services and UIs.
• Develop cloud-native apps on Azure using PaaS, containers and IaC.
• Consume data via APIs and surface it for brokers and analysts.
• Build AI-enabled features using retrieval-augmented generation and tool integration.
• Adopt AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day workflows.
• Integrate with external market platforms and client systems via API-first patterns.
• Maintain security, authentication, RBAC and privacy by default; apply TDD.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders, review code, and mentor teammates.
