Job summary

HyerTek seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build, secure, and modernize enterprise applications operating in Azure Government and classified environments.

This hands-on role focuses on Node.js, Express, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL Server or Azure SQL, with AI-assisted development integrated into the workflow. You will contribute across architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, analytics, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software-development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience building full-stack web applications, REST APIs, background services, and database-backed systems.
• Strong SQL and relational data-modeling skills (SQL Server or Azure SQL).
• Experience modernizing mature applications or major refactors without behavior regression.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure sessions/tokens.
• Experience with automated testing, Git, PRs, CI/CD, and container deployment.
• Secure coding practices and addressing app-security findings.
• Experience using GitHub Enterprise and/or Azure DevOps for source control, code review, and delivery.
• Ability to guide AI-assisted development with clear context and constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize enterprise applications in Azure Gov and classified environments.
• Build and secure REST APIs, services, and data integrations.
• Collaborate with architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, analytics, and QA teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to analyze repos, plan changes, generate/refactor code, and create tests.
• Ensure quality, security, and maintainability of delivered software.
