Job summary

HyerTek, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and modernize enterprise applications operating in Azure Government environments, including classified contexts.

This hands-on role emphasizes Node.js, Express, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL Server or Azure SQL. You will lead a migration from embedded databases to production-grade Azure SQL, preserve access controls and audit history, and collaborate with architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and QA

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development for production enterprise apps.
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express, JavaScript/TypeScript and REST APIs.
• Experience migrating to Azure SQL and managing database migrations.
• Secure coding with authentication, authorization, and audit logging.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools in delivery workflows.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise or Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Ability to work with DoD security standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack apps using Node.js, Express, and SQL Server/Azure SQL.
• Own features across UI, API, and data access layers.
• Lead migration to Azure SQL with versioned migrations and performance tuning.
• Build secure REST APIs with validation and logging.
• Ensure access controls, CAC/PIV authentication, and audit trails.
• Collaborate with solution architecture, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, QA.
• Develop tests and documentation; review AI-generated changes.
