Job summary

HyerTek, a federal technology consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build and modernize enterprise applications in Azure Government and classified environments. Primarily hands-on with Node.js, Express, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL Server/Azure SQL.

Role focuses on migration to Azure SQL, secure data access, audit logging, and comprehensive documentation. Collaboration across architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, analytics, and QA teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building full-stack web apps, REST APIs, and database-backed systems.
• Strong SQL and relational data modeling, SQL Server or Azure SQL.
• Experience modernizing mature applications and secure authentication/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, Express, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server or Azure SQL.
• Own features across UI, API, business logic, integration, and data-access layers.
• Lead migration from embedded database to Azure SQL with versioned migrations and performance tuning.
• Build secure, versioned REST APIs with validation, logging, authentication, and authorization.
• Preserve security controls, including access control, audit logging, and data masking.
• Implement CAC/PIV authentication and DoD PKI integration.
• Collaborate with architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, analytics, and QA teams.
