AgZen, a fast-growing precision agriculture company, seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Somerville, MA, to join a multidisciplinary team building dealer-facing apps and a cloud portal.
You will design, build, and maintain software that runs on sprayers and in the cloud, enabling smarter pesticide use and real-time insights. This is an in-person role with impact across hardware and software in farming environments.
We're a small team doing big things — using cutting-edge physics and real-time sensing to change how the world sprays crops.
Why AgZen
Our technology is in fields today, helping farmers spray smarter and use fewer chemicals. The work you do here has a measurable effect on sustainability and profitability across millions of acres.
Born out of MIT research, AgZen sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and agronomic science. If you thrive on tackling genuinely novel challenges and shipping quickly, you'll fit right in.

About AgZen: AgZen is a fast-growing precision agriculture company headquartered in Somerville, MA, built on MIT research and focused on one problem: making crop spraying more efficient. Our flagship product, RealCoverage, is the world's first system that measures and controls droplet coverage at the leaf level, giving growers real-time visibility into spray performance and cutting chemical and water use by up to 50% without sacrificing yield.
We are a small, technically deep team working at the intersection of fluid mechanics, computer vision, AI, and real agricultural environments. If you want to build technology with measurable impact on how the world grows food, this is the place to do it.
About the Role
At AgZen, you’ll be joining a multidisciplinary engineering team that includes hardware, electrical, and software engineers working together to transform traditional agricultural practices. Our mission centers on retrofitting existing sprayers with advanced technology that enables smarter pesticide use through data collection and real-time insights.
As part of the software team, you will help design, build, and maintain dealer-facing applications that run directly on sprayers around the world as well as our cloud portal that enables access to data and additional support mechanisms. Your work will support a wide range of users, from internal team members to farmers and potential business partners, helping them better understand and optimize chemical usage in agriculture.
