Job summary

AgZen, a fast-growing precision agriculture company, seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Somerville, MA, to join a multidisciplinary team building dealer-facing apps and a cloud portal.

You will design, build, and maintain software that runs on sprayers and in the cloud, enabling smarter pesticide use and real-time insights. This is an in-person role with impact across hardware and software in farming environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of engineering experience building and deploying large-scale systems.
• Proficiency with Python or Go.
• Experience with SQL databases and ORMs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-performance UI and APIs that integrate with units operating in the field.
• Push the limits of edge computing with user-friendly interfaces in modern agriculture tech.
• Work across the full stack, developing tooling for dealers and product teams.
• Collaborate on features from teammates and customer needs, with real-time field impact.
• Get direct exposure to customers and see how your code performs live over satellite connections in farming environments.
• Test your work in a hardware-equipped lab simulating real-world conditions.
