About The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Boon, you'll join a small, close-knit team of engineers inventing next-generation tools for fleets. You will build features end-to-end using Ruby on Rails and modern frontend technologies, collaborating with Product, Design, and our customers, while shaping our architecture and technical roadmap.

In This Role, You Will:

• Develop end-to-end features using Ruby on Rails for backend and frontend, delivering complete solutions from database to UI
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and database models with Rails best practices
• Create responsive, intuitive user interfaces with React (or Vue) that solve complex customer problems
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting infrastructure for critical product flows
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards
• Shape engineering team culture, processes, and best practices

Minimum Requirements For The Role:

• 5+ years experience in full-stack development with Ruby on Rails or similar full-stack frameworks like Django, MEAN, etc.
• Strong proficiency with React (or Vue) for frontend development
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ActiveRecord
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (RSpec, Jest, etc.)
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and customer/colleague empathy
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Interest or experience in AI and machine learning to help build AI agents

Compensation

At Boon, we want to attract and retain the best employees and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. The starting pay range is estimated between $180K and $235K, but actual compensation may vary based on location, skills, experience, and market factors. Employees may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or equity.
