Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for the Workforce Benefits Billing Team in Newport Beach, CA. You will design, build, and support billing capabilities central to our digital-first experience, collaborating across billing, enrollment, and partner integrations.

You will contribute to scalable platforms, work with Java/.NET and AWS, and participate in production support and modernization efforts to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of application development experience.
• Experience building enterprise web applications and APIs with Java or .NET.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Experience with API integration patterns and middleware like MuleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain billing services and APIs supporting employer and broker-facing platforms.
• Build and deploy solutions within a cloud-based AWS environment.
• Develop and maintain applications leveraging CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices.
• Work across API integrations and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) to support billing data flows.
• Support and enhance billing experiences in employer and broker portals, improving usability and transparency.
• Participate in production support, monitoring, and incident resolution to maintain system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product, QA, and platform teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
