Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support billing capabilities central to Workforce Benefits’ digital experience. You will contribute to modern, scalable platforms for employer, broker, and employee-facing apps.

You will join a team within a broader WBD ecosystem, delivering reliable billing workflows, improving usability, and supporting production operations while collaborating with product and QA teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 5+ years of application development experience.
  • Experience building enterprise web applications and APIs using modern technologies (Java, .NET, or similar).
  • Hands‑on experience working within cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and modern development workflows.
  • Familiarity with API integration patterns and enterprise middleware platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain billing services and APIs for employer and broker-facing platforms.
  • Build and deploy solutions within a cloud-based AWS environment.
  • Develop and maintain applications using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions).
  • Work across API integrations and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) to support data flows.
  • Support and enhance billing experiences in employer and broker portals for usability and transparency.
  • Participate in production support, monitoring, and incident resolution.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer , you will design, build, and support billing capabilities that are central to Workforce Benefits’ digital-first experience. You’ll contribute to a modern, scalable platforms that support employer, broker, and employee-facing applications. You will join a team operating within a broader WBD platform ecosystem, supporting billing, enrollment, and partner integrations that power a seamless customer experience.

How you’ll help move us forward
  • Design, develop, and maintain billing services and APIs supporting employer and broker-facing platforms
  • Build and deploy solutions within a cloud-based AWS environment
  • Develop and maintain applications leveraging CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions) and modern delivery practices
  • Work across API integrations and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) to support billing and partner data flows
  • Support and enhance billing experiences in employer and broker portals, improving usability and transparency of billing workflows
  • Participate in production support, monitoring, and incident resolution to maintain system performance and reliability
  • Collaborate closely with product, QA, and platform teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
The experience you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 5+ years of application development experience
  • Experience building enterprise web applications and APIs using modern technologies (Java, .NET, or similar)
  • Hands‑on experience working within cloud-based environments (AWS preferred)

Base Pay Range: The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay. $124,830.00 - $152,570.00
