Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to shape scalable digital experiences across web and mobile. The role emphasizes AI‑assisted development, cloud-native architecture, and automated testing in a hybrid model.

The position requires 5+ years of experience with .NET and Angular, plus strong backend/frontend skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams. 3 in-person days weekly at our Newton, MA headquarters, with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years of development experience.
  • Experience with back-end development using .NET core/.NET, C#, REST API, SQL Server.
  • Experience with Angular, HTML5, SCSS/CSS, TypeScript or JavaScript, and unit test frameworks (Jasmine, Jest).
  • Experience using Azure PAAS and SAAS resources like Azure Service Bus, Key Vault, Data Factory, Pipelines, Storage, Dynatrace, AppInsights.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on development in the application development, unit test, and rollout of web and mobile initiatives.
  • Develop both front-end and back-end for web/mobile applications with a hybrid internal/vendor team.
  • Collaborate with Business Owners and Analysis teams to create business requirements.
  • Document technical requirements and specifications for Web/Mobile apps and integrated solutions.
  • Provide feedback on technical designs to support requirements.
  • Communicate project planning/status information to leadership.
  • Deliver demos/presentations tailored to audience.

Job description

The Senior Full Stack Developers plays a key role in shaping modern, scalable digital experiences across web and mobile. Adopting emerging engineering practices-such as AI‑assisted development, cloud‑native architecture, and automated testing-you will help lead the creation of high‑quality Serverless/Microservices, Containerization, Cloud Technologies, Hybrid mobile frameworks solutions.

This Hybrid role requires in-person work 3 days a week at our Newton, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands‑on development in the application development, unit test, and rollout of strategic web and Mobile initiatives.
  • Develop both front‑end and back‑end for web/mobile applications, working with a hybrid internal/vendor team, to support various lines of business and functional areas.
  • Work with Business Owners and Business Analysis teams, to create business requirements.
  • Document technical requirements and technical specifications for Web/Mobile applications (and related integrated solutions) and provide technical solutions to support those needs.
  • Provide feedback (and approval) on technical designs and methods to support business requirements.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project planning and status information to leadership/management.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well‑organized demos/presentations that are effectively tailored to the intended audience, as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of development experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science or related field. 3 years of additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in back‑end development using .NET core/ .NET, C#, Unit test, REST API, SQL Server.
  • Experience in front‑end development using Angular, HTML5, SCSS/CSS, Typescript or JavaScript, Unit test framework such as Jasmine, Jest, NgRx, RxJS, material design/Bootstrap.
  • Experience using Azure PAAS and SAAS resources like Azure Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure Data Factory, Azure Pipelines, Azure Storage, Dynatrace, or AppInsight.
Preferred Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft Technology stack
  • Knowledge of front‑end code quality tools like ESLint, Prettier, SonarQube, RESTful API design and client consumption, Micro-front‑end Architecture, Angular SSR.
  • Knowledge of Parallel programming, Cosmos DB, Redis/Distributed cache, Asp.net, RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of AKS, Microservice Architecture and event driven architecture, Chatbot, APIM.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps /GIT based source control systems.
  • Knowledge of OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SSO.
  • Strong experience with building and maintaining a reusable component library.
  • Experience with maintaining and improving an existing codebase, focusing on improving performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and critical thinker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and business partners.
  • Passion for emerging technologies such as AI Assisted/Agentic development

The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 - $151,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
