Stitch Fix Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Data Scientist to own the full ML lifecycle—from problem framing to deployment—for personalization and recommendations.

You will work with Python, SQL, and distributed systems to build scalable models, explore LLMs, and drive measurable client impact across Stitch Fix experiences. You will mentor other data scientists, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and help set technical direction for foundational ML capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years designing and deploying ML solutions in personalization
• Production-grade Python coding and systems thinking
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed data processing
• Strong evaluation, experimentation, and A/B testing background

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and productionize ML models for personalization and recommendations.
• Advance modeling capabilities: representations, embeddings, retrieval, ranking, and assortment.
• Explore LLMs and multimodal approaches to improve systems.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from problem definition to deployment and monitoring.
• Run offline evaluations and online experiments; communicate results to stakeholders.
• Work with large-scale datasets using Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Build scalable, reliable ML solutions with focus on latency and cost.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other Data Science teams to translate needs into reusable capabilities.
• Contribute to technical direction, code reviews, and best-practice development.
• Mentor other data scientists and engineers; articulate complex concepts clearly.
