Job summary

Capital One is seeking Full-stack Software Engineers (Automation Quality Engineers) to lead automated testing efforts and build scalable test frameworks for critical projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans, leveraging Java, Python, and modern open source tools on AWS and containerized runtimes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization tools

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
• Mentor other engineers and participate in tech communities
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions
• Utilize Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript across services
• Provide technical leadership and set design/operational standards
• Define service boundaries and reusable frameworks with architects
• Identify areas for refactoring to reduce technical debt
• Influence long-term technology strategy in a fast-moving environment
