Job summary

Capital One is seeking Full-stack Software Engineers to drive a major transformation across the technology landscape. In this role, you will lead diverse projects and collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions used by millions of customers.

You will work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services, building scalable microservices, setting standards, and mentoring engineers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms.
• Experience leading projects or teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in internal & external technology communities.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS tools.
• Provide technical leadership and set standards for design, development, and operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and reduce technical debt in distributed systems.
