Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer to lead a portfolio of technology projects and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will drive cloud-based solutions using Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and manage containers with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.

You will partner with product managers and architects to set standards, reduce technical debt, and shape long-term technology strategy in a “you build it, you own it” culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and stay on top of tech trends.
Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users.
