Job summary

LHH in Minneapolis seeks a Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and modernize critical in-house applications for a leading food service operations provider. You will own architecture while actively coding, mentoring engineers, and setting development standards to deliver scalable, secure middle-office and B2B solutions that support business operations.

Expect to work on high-impact in-house digital applications across front-office, middle-office and back-end systems, shaping governance

Qualifications

• Define governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance of custom applications.
• Establish SDLC and change management processes to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to align development with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance.
• Evaluate tools and methodologies to improve code quality, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of custom web and enterprise applications across front-end and back-end.
• Mentor engineers, provide code reviews, and promote adherence to standards.
• Drive solution design sessions and review architectures for performance.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and champion DevOps culture.
