Job summary

Wawa Inc. seeks a Senior Supervisor of Back Office Fuel Accounting to lead the accounting team responsible for fuel procurement, trading transactions, and related reporting.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, process optimization, and collaboration across Fuel Front Office, Middle Office, IT, and external partners. Key responsibilities include supervising journal entries, intercompany and inventory accounting, and the coordination of system upgrades (SAP, Right Angle) while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business discipline; CPA preferred.
• Minimum seven years of progressive accounting, financial reporting or commodities accounting experience.
• Five+ years in leadership with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to communicate complex accounting topics to senior leaders.
• Experience with fuel accounting, inventory, and derivatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Back Office Fuel Accounting team, set priorities, manage workflow and coverage.
• Escalate complex issues to Fuel Accounting leadership and drive resolution.
• Oversee training, documentation, and process improvement for SAP and fuel initiatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate accounting treatment of bulk fuel inventory and trading transactions.
• Manage monthly close in SolArc RightAngle and coordinate with IT and support groups.
