Job summary

Greencore USA is seeking a Sr. FSQA Manager to lead the Food Safety Quality Assurance department at our Carson, CA site. You will provide direction to the team to ensure safe, quality food products, manage daily quality and food safety tasks, and align with customer, regulatory, and company strategies.

You will drive HACCP/PCQI compliance, oversee training, and collaborate with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Warehousing to uphold quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
• HACCP and PCQI Certification required.
• Minimum 7 years experience in ready-to-eat food industry.
• GFSI experience required (SQF preferred).
• FDA/USDA-regulated environment experience; ready-to-eat preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict food safety and quality specs per customer and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with New Product Development to implement safety and quality for new products.
• Oversee disposition of non-conforming products; lead root-cause investigations and CAPAs.
• Conduct product review to ensure analytical, sensory, and microbiological compliance.
• Document HACCP/Food Safety Plan deviations and ensure corrective actions.
• Lead site cross-functional teams on product failures, environmental issues, and customer feedback investigations.
• Drive on-time product launches and continuous improvement projects (materials, packaging, cost reductions).
• Implement environmental monitoring and sanitation validation programs; investigate findings.
• Participate in customer visits and 3rd party audits while maintaining GFSI certification.
