Smithfield Foods in North Carolina seeks a Senior Plant FSQA Manager to lead food safety and quality across a high-volume production site. You’ll own regulatory compliance, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions to protect product integrity from raw material to finished goods.

You’ll mentor a large FSQA team, collaborate with plant and corporate leadership, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with brand standards for national scale products.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in the food industry or equivalent.
• 2+ years in team management or project leadership.
• English reading/writing proficiency.
• Hands-on microbiological testing knowledge for meat/poultry.
• Knowledge of USDA/FSIS/HACCP/SSOP and QMS tools (SAP, databases).
• Strong written/verbal communication and audit readiness.
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and timely corrective actions.
• Documented compliance mindset with fast-paced, team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work extended hours as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee food safety, quality, and regulatory programs for USDA/FDA compliance.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and audit readiness.
• Direct sanitation, HACCP, SSOP, and SSOP-related improvements.
• Manage SQF plans, updates, and team communications.
• Supervise FSQA staff, performance reviews, and training.
