Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical AI/ML role such as ML engineering, research, applied science, technical product management, or post-training data work at a lab or data provider.
• Fluency in the LLM training lifecycle, especially post-training: SFT, preference data, reward modeling, RL environments, evaluations, agentic training, etc.
• Track record of owning relationships with senior technical stakeholders and influencing their direction through substance.

Responsibilities

• Own relationships with senior research stakeholders at assigned frontier labs and become a strategic thought partner on post-training, evaluation, and agent roadmaps.
• Set the data strategy for accounts: anticipate needs across research areas and build a multi-program plan.
• Direct cross-functional teams designing Scale's most complex human-data programs.
• Shape Scale's product roadmap by representing customers in planning with AI Product Managers and ML Research, resolving tradeoffs between needs and what can be built.
• Bring frontier insights back to Scale's leadership and technical teams to guide strategy and investment decisions.
• Own the pipeline of new opportunities for accounts; lead scoping, forecasting, and pricing with Delivery, Growth Operations, and Finance, and see work through to signed programs.
• Mentor Frontier Data Strategists and help build playbooks the team runs on.
