Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Senior Frontier Agent Engineer to architect, integrate, deploy, and operate production AI systems for strategic enterprise customers. You’ll blend distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and frontier AI to transform cutting-edge models into reliable enterprise software.

You will design agent architectures, deploy AI into mission-critical workflows, and shape best practices across Scale’s platform, with direct collaboration across product, infra, and Applied AI teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems, data structures and design.
• Strong Python programming skills for production software.
• Experience building or deploying AI-powered applications using LLM APIs, agent frameworks, retrieval systems, or vector databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern production infra.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production AI systems that integrate into complex enterprise environments.
• Design scalable agent architectures combining LLMs, retrieval, memory, tools, and enterprise data.
• Build reliable production workflows with secure customer integrations and governance.
• Lead architecture discussions across distributed systems and AI infrastructure.
