Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Web) to build a collaborative XR platform within the Interactive Graphics Solution group. You will work with UX designers to deliver modern, high-performance web frontends for XR experiences and related backend services.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, real-time web tech, and scalable cloud-native architecture, with a strong frontend emphasis and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on frontend software design and development.
• Strong experience in JavaScript (ES6+), React, and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of browser performance, DOM, and rendering pipelines.
• Experience with real-time communications (WebSockets) and data formats (JSON, Protobuf).
• Cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with Electron and AWS (S3)
• Git/GitHub knowledge and Agile development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications (JS/React/TS) alongside backend services.
• Build high-performance, XR-ready web components across 2D and immersive environments.
• Lead large, complex projects, define scope, plan, and deliver milestones on time.
• Collaborate with architects, UX, product managers to translate requirements into features.
• Shape system design across cloud and web environments for scalability and performance.
• Lead technical discussions and document solutions for clarity and adoption.
• Stay ahead of trends to anticipate future development needs.
