Zuora, Inc. in Foster City, CA is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to advance our UI Platform. You will design and build reusable React and TypeScript components, contribute to our design system, and ship UI for Zuora’s customer-facing applications with accessibility and performance in mind.

In this hybrid role you’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with design and product teams across time zones, and promote AI-assisted development workflows, Storybook, testing, and modern tooling.

Competenze

• 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience with frontend focus.
• Expert-level React and TypeScript, with strong HTML, CSS and accessibility fundamentals (WCAG).
• Experience building reusable, themeable component libraries with Material UI or comparable library.
• Experience with Storybook and automated testing (unit and visual regression).
• Knowledge of design-system practices: tokens, theming, documentation, backward compatibility.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Cursor or Claude Code) and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Git-based workflows, CI/CD and package publishing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration across time zones.
• Open-source contributions or internal tooling are a plus.

• Zuora’s UI Platform team builds the shared React and TypeScript component library and design system that power our customer-facing applications, delivering a consistent, accessible and modern experience across our product suite
• We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to help evolve that platform and to help our engineers move faster with AI by building reusable AI-assisted development workflows and automation. You will also contribute to feature code in our customer-facing applications, putting the platform to work in real product development
• Design and build reusable, accessible, well-tested React and TypeScript components and the tooling around them
• Contribute to product feature code alongside the shared platform, building and shipping UI for Zuora’s customer-facing applications
• Take ownership of features end to end, using AI-assisted development to deliver high-quality UI quickly with minimal hand-holding
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system: tokens, theming, documentation, versioning and adoption across multiple application teams
• Partner with Design on pixel-accurate, accessible implementations and with product teams on adopting shared components
• Review code contributions from other teams and uphold standards for quality, performance and accessibility
• Improve developer experience through Storybook documentation, automated and visual regression testing, and release tooling
• Build and maintain AI-assisted development workflows (such as reusable skills, agents and automation) that help engineers deliver consistent, high-quality UI faster
• Use AI coding tools in your daily work and help refine team practices for AI-assisted development
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across a globally distributed team
• This is a hybrid position based in our Foster City, CA headquarters. You’ll work onsite three days per week to foster collaboration, innovation and team connectivity. This is not a fully remote position
• Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, Material UI (MUI) and Emotion, Vite, Vitest, Storybook, Chromatic, Playwright, GraphQL, single-spa micro-frontends, Web Components, Cursor, Claude Code
• You’ll work closely with designers, product managers and engineers across the US and Asia to deliver high-quality, reusable UI at enterprise scale. Our team is globally distributed and collaborative, built on strong communication and shared commitment to quality. You’ll mentor engineers and share knowledge across this distributed network while helping to shape the future of our platform and development practices
