Job summary

Jobtailor leads the development of sophisticated, data-dense front-end systems in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on owning Angular architecture, mentoring distributed engineers, and advancing AI-enabled automation across multiple enterprise portals.

You will collaborate with PMs and backend teams to deliver reliable frontend solutions, while upholding high engineering standards and scalable design. This is a senior leadership front-end position based in the Bay Area.

Qualifications

Senior+ or Staff-level front end engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership.
Strong hands-on experience with Angular.
Experience with reactive UI patterns and RxJS or equivalent observables-based architecture.
Comfort building and owning enterprise, data-dense web applications.
Experience leading or mentoring other engineers, ideally across a distributed team.
Genuine interest in AI-driven automation.
Experience stepping into or consolidating a tech lead function previously shared across multiple people (preferred).
Startup background (preferred).
Experience with mobile web, not native mobile or React Native (preferred).
Domain experience in mobility, logistics, fleet, or other operationally complex enterprise software (bonus).
Experience with mapping or GPS-adjacent UI (bonus).
Experience collaborating closely with design in Figma-based workflows (bonus).

Responsibilities

Own front end technical decisions and architecture across the Angular codebase, including state management and reactive UI patterns with RxJS.
Technically lead the Ukraine-based front end team, set direction, unblock complex problems, raise engineering standards, and write production code.
Work within an existing structure where PMs and backend teams drive most product and design direction while Front End owns execution and technical quality.
Partner with PMs and backend engineering to turn direction into reliable shipped front end systems.
Advance the team's use of AI tooling and drive meaningful development automation.
Provide technical leadership for infrastructure-level front end work.
Consolidate front end technical decision-making under one clear owner.
Set architectural standards for Angular applications across dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals.
Mentor and technically lead distributed engineers during overlapping HQ hours.
Collaborate with PMs and backend leads to maintain fast, clean front end execution.
