Job summary

Zuora, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for our UI Platform team in Foster City, CA. The role focuses on building a reusable React and TypeScript component library and design system used across Zuora’s customer-facing applications.

You will ship UI for Zuora’s products, own features end-to-end, and advance AI-assisted development workflows. This hybrid role requires onsite presence three days a week to foster collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience, front-end focus.
• Expert-level React and TypeScript with strong HTML/CSS and accessibility fundamentals.
• Experience building reusable, themeable component libraries with Material UI or similar.
• Storybook experience and automated testing (unit and visual regression).
• Design-system practices: tokens, theming, documentation, backward compatibility.
• Hands-on with AI coding tools and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Git-based workflows, CI/CD and package publishing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reusable React/TypeScript components and tooling.
• Contribute to product feature code alongside the shared platform.
• Own features end-to-end with AI-assisted development.
• Evolve our design system across multiple teams and projects.
• Collaborate with Design and product teams for pixel-accurate implementations.
• Review code and uphold quality, performance, accessibility standards.
• Improve developer experience with Storybook, testing and release tooling.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across a distributed team.
