Job summary

Redfin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Platform Engineering team that powers ~30 React apps with build tooling, testing, CI/CD, and developer experience integrations. You will help shape frontend platform infrastructure and AI tooling to accelerate code creation and deployment.

You’ll design scalable solutions, drive reliability of core frontend infrastructure, and collaborate across multiple frontend teams to reduce toil and improve developer productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend or full-stack development, specializing in developer tooling, platform engineering, or infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience leveraging testing frameworks: Jest, Vitest, Playwright; familiarity with visual regression testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating Rust-based tools into JS workflows.
• Experience deploying containerized workflows (Docker) and using observability tools (Datadog).
• Experience implementing AI tools to speed up development and debugging for frontend teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements to core frontend infrastructure: build tooling, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and build generative AI tooling to accelerate frontend code creation, testing, and deployment.
• Reduce toil and friction, enabling scalable best practices across multiple frontend teams.
• Research and champion innovative frontend developer experience solutions and new technologies.
• Support the implementation roadmap for platform infrastructure, addressing technical debt and scalable solutions.
