Job summary

Virtualitics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the frontend of our next‑generation platform. You will shape the shared app shell, component library, hooks, and typed API client that power customer projects, setting API contracts, auth, layout, theming, and real‑time updates.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years building production web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Experience owning a shared component library or frontend platform used by multiple teams.
• Strong understanding of modern React concepts (hooks, Suspense, server-state).
• Familiarity with build tooling, CI for frontend packages, and testing strategies.
• Experience shipping data-dense UIs and implementing accessibility.
• Clear written communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the shared frontend packages (app shell, component library, hooks, typed API client).
• Design and build reusable components for data-heavy government apps.
• Set frontend testing strategy and end-to-end coverage.
• Own frontend performance, code-splitting, and dependency management.
• Contribute to design-system direction and theming.
• Ensure accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA) and secure browser surfaces.
• Collaborate with backend, AI, and DevSecOps on API shape, auth, and real-time events.
• Review code, unblock teams, and promote shared patterns.
• Plan migration of existing product frontend to the new platform.
• Mentor engineers and raise frontend standards.
