Job summary

Ping Identity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend, to design and develop high‑performing web applications with modern React patterns. You will collaborate with Product, UX, and Backend teams to deliver user‑centric features and maintain a scalable UI foundation.

You will mentor engineers, help shape frontend architecture standards, and ensure accessibility and performance while driving CI/CD and testing practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of front-end development experience building production web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (React).
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with responsive design principles.
• Experience with state management and scalable front-end architecture patterns (Redux Toolkit).
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating closely with backend teams.
• Solid testing and quality practices (Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Enzyme; E2E with Playwright or Cypress).
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD workflows (GitHub/GitLab).
• Practical experience diagnosing and improving performance, including browser debugging and profiling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable front-end solutions using modern React patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Backend teams to define and implement user-centric features, including API contracts and edge-case handling.
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to a consistent design system and documentation.
• Ensure code quality through best practices: clear PRs, code reviews, automated testing, and developer-friendly documentation.
• Optimize applications for speed and reliability (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering performance) across devices.
• Ship accessible experiences by incorporating WCAG-aligned practices into component design and QA workflows.
• Participate in architecture discussions and help define front-end development standards.
• Maintain build pipelines, including configuring tools like Vite, managing dependencies, and CI/CD troubleshooting.
• Mentor and support other engineers through pairing and knowledge sharing.
