Sardine is hiring a frontend-focused Senior Software Engineer to own the design and delivery of user-facing experiences at the heart of our AI products. You’ll build polished, performant React/TypeScript interfaces and occasionally work in Go on backend services.

This is a high-autonomy, high-leadership role: mentor engineers, set frontend standards, and champion AI-assisted workflows to move fast. Sardine operates remote-first with teams across time zones, valuing results and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Expert-level React and TypeScript with UX focus.
• Fluency with AI tooling like Claude and productive use.
• Leadership in mentoring and setting technical standards.
• Experience shipping production‑grade frontend at scale.
• Backend Go knowledge is helpful but secondary to frontend.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own user-facing features in React and TypeScript.
• Set frontend direction and quality through mentorship.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and establish best practices.
• Dip into Go to support backend services when needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to architect and deliver new experiences.
• Contribute to roadmaps and engineering culture.
• Document frontend usage to drive adoption.
• Help shape engineering culture and maintain high standards.
