Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to own end-to-end frontend for crypto money movement across web and mobile. You will drive performance, reliability, and user experience while mentoring junior engineers and delivering high-scale payment flows.

You’ll partner with product, design, and backend teams to scope and ship features that reduce customer friction, with quarterly in-person surges and a remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with React and React Native.
• Proven track record shipping consumer-facing frontend in high-scale environments.
• Experience owning SLOs and improving latency/availability for user flows.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute as a senior technical voice.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences (send, receive, status).
• Improve latency, availability, and SLOs for payment flows you own.
• Build user-facing features (e.g., contact management, real-time status trackers).
• Collaborate with product/design/backend to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce CX friction.
