Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Frontend for the Consumer Payments team.

You will own end-to-end frontend development for money movement experiences across web and mobile, driving performance, reliability, and user satisfaction at scale. You will mentor junior engineers, ship features like contact management and real-time status trackers, and collaborate with product/design/backend teams to reduce customer friction in a remote-first company with quarterly

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with React and React Native.
Shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in a high-scale environment with focus on performance and UX.
Experience owning SLOs and driving latency and availability improvements.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and act as a senior technical voice.
Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile.
Drive improvements in CUJ latency, availability, and SLOs for payment flows.
Build user-facing features like contact management systems and real-time status trackers.
Partner with product, design, and backend engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce CX contact rates.
Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks to improve reliability for millions of users.
