Coinbase, Inc. in the United States is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join the Consumer Payments team. You’ll own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile, building fast, reliable payment flows.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, drive SLOs, latency, and availability improvements, and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to reduce customer friction at scale while delivering a delightful user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and React Native.
• Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in a high-scale environment, focusing on performance, reliability, and UX.
• Experience owning SLOs and driving latency and availability improvements for user-facing flows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile.
• Drive measurable improvements in CUJ latency, availability, and SLOs for payment flows.
• Build new user-facing features such as contact management and real-time transaction status trackers.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship projects reducing CX contact rates.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks across payment flows to improve reliability for millions of users.
