Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join the Consumer Payments team within the Consumer Product Group. You will own critical user journeys across web and mobile, building fast, reliable, and delightful payment flows while mentoring junior engineers and driving down customer friction at scale.

You will collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce CX contact rates and improve the customer experience, including

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with React/React Native.
• Experience shipping consumer-facing frontend in high-scale environments.
• Own SLOs and improve latency and availability for user-facing flows.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute as a senior tech voice on a team.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile.
• Drive improvements in CUJ latency, availability, and SLOs for the payment flows you own.
• Build new user-facing features such as contact management systems and real-time status trackers.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce CX contact rates.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks to reduce latency and improve reliability for millions of users.
