Sardine is seeking a remote-first Senior Software Engineer focused on frontend to design, deliver, and own high-quality user experiences using React and TypeScript. You will mentor teammates, set frontend standards, and leverage AI tools to ship features quickly while collaborating with backend Go services as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of frontend experience, strong UX focus, and comfort with AI-assisted workflows in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, with deep frontend specialization.
• Expert-level React and TypeScript, with strong UX, performance, and accessibility.
• Fluency with AI tools for coding (e.g., Claude) and proven delivery using AI assistants.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own user-facing features in React and TypeScript — polished, accessible, performant, and production-ready.
• Set the technical direction and quality bar for our frontend, and mentor engineers.
• Use AI and agentic development tools fluently to move quickly and set best practices for AI-assisted development.
• Dip into Go to build and extend backend services and APIs behind frontend features as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to architect and implement new experiences from inception to delivery.
