Planet is seeking a Senior Front-end Software Engineer to lead the development of our GMS frontend. You will design and implement frontend features, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and design teams to deliver real-time, data-driven interfaces atop Planet's satellite data.

The role is remote within the United States, with optional office days if nearby; bring deep React/TypeScript expertise and a passion for scalable frontend architectures and modern web tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency with React and component-based architecture.
• Experience with state management, data fetching, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement frontend features.
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
• Contribute to backend systems and APIs as needed, with frontend ownership.
• Drive frontend architectural decisions including component design and state patterns.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver solutions.
