Job summary

Compass in Boca Raton is seeking Senior Software Engineers I and II to join a world-class engineering team building the end-to-end platform for real estate agents. You will design, build, and operate high-performance microservices and frontend interfaces that power thousands of agents.

The role requires 5+ years with React and NodeJS, 3+ years of AWS, strong leadership, and a product-focused mindset. Compensation includes base pay, bonuses and RSUs, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested software in React/NodeJS in a professional setting.
• 3+ years of experience using AWS or other cloud technologies.
• Track record as a technical leader with cross-team impact.
• Strong CI/CD, containerization, and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Design & Build: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance microservices and frontend interfaces.
• Drive Technical Delivery: Define and lead delivery of complex projects across the stack.
• Incorporate Intelligent Automation: Integrate AI models and data pipelines to automate workflows.
• Champion Engineering Excellence: Conduct code reviews and write automated tests to improve quality.
• Own Your Domain: Create architecture docs and runbooks; own services throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate & Mentor: Work with stakeholders and mentor peers to elevate the team.
