Job summary

Citi is seeking a Lead Front End Engineer in Tampa, FL to drive architectural decisions and deliver scalable, secure front-end applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish standards for development and testing, and shape the user experience across Citi’s digital platforms.

The role requires proven React expertise, strong HTML/CSS skills, and experience with CI/CD, cloud deployment, and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development or systems analysis.
• Experience in end-to-end programming of complex software applications.
• Designing, building, and shipping projects from conception through deployment in enterprise-scale environments.
• Subject matter expert in at least one area of applications development.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React with hands-on experience building scalable SPAs.
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with front-end build tools like Webpack and npm, including pipeline configuration and dependency management.
• Hands-on experience with Git and code review best practices.
• Testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, JUnit, or Mockito with robust test suites.
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS or Azure) and deploying front-end apps in cloud-native environments.
• CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions and deploy new products.
• Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business and system processes.
• Provide architectural guidance for front-end design and adherence to blueprint.
• Develop coding standards, testing, debugging, and deployment practices.
