Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer for the Card team. You will own end-to-end frontend development for core card experiences across web and mobile, delivering features that drive activation and usage of Coinbase’s card products.

You will partner with product, design, and backend engineering to scope and ship projects that reduce CX contact rates and improve performance and reliability, while mentoring junior engineers and upholding responsible AI usage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with React and React Native.
• Experience shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in a high-scale environment.
• Experience owning SLOs and driving latency improvements for user-facing flows.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core card experiences across web and mobile.
• Build new user-facing features such as authorized card users and real-time status trackers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship projects.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks to improve latency and availability.
