Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer for the Card Team to build user-facing experiences behind Coinbase’s card products.

You’ll join a small team with strong ownership, greenfield work, and direct impact on how millions of customers discover and use their cards. You will own frontend development across core card flows, partner with product and design, and drive improvements in performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and React Native.
• Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in a high-scale environment.
• Experience owning SLOs and driving improvements in latency and availability.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and act as a senior technical voice on a team.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core card experiences across web and mobile.
• Build new user-facing features such as authorized card users and real-time transaction tracking.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend to scope and ship projects efficiently.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks to improve CUJ latency and availability.
