Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for Layla, our AI-native travel planning assistant. You will build fast, accessible web interfaces with React/Next.js, translating designs into robust features while collaborating with product and backend teams.

Expect a senior, startup-paced environment focused on data-driven AI enhancements for travelers. You will mentor engineers, advocate for accessibility, and contribute to frontend architecture decisions while delivering scalable travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of production-quality software development experience.
• Deep frontend/web development with JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and component-based UIs.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP.
• Experience with AI-driven systems and safe integration into web features.
• Experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build reusable, component-based web interfaces with React/Next.js.
• Translate concepts and designs into maintainable code with cross-team collaboration.
• Develop performant, scalable web apps and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
