Job summary

Abridge is seeking an experienced Front End Engineer to design, build, and maintain React/TypeScript web applications that power real-time clinical notes. You will contribute across APIs and UI layers, uphold accessibility standards, and drive architectural decisions in a fast-growing AI healthcare startup.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting web applications including 5+ years with React.
• Experience delivering a small web app or feature within a larger application.
• Experience with mobile tech stack (React, TypeScript, Electron) preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating in a team.
• Willingness to contribute across domains and learn new things.
• Deep expertise using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Bonus: audio playback, recording, file encryption, or online/offline support.

• Design, build, and support React/TypeScript web applications.
• Set accessibility standards and design system usage.
• Make technology decisions aligned with business needs while ensuring security and quality.
• Enhance existing systems to add functionality and improve performance, stability, and security.
• Promote high-quality code and reduce technical debt.
• Develop deep user empathy and maintain a user-centric mindset.
• Collaborate with design, product, ML, and infrastructure teams; learn from cross-functional projects.
• Mentor fellow engineers.
