Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior full-stack engineer to architect, develop, and ship features spanning React front-ends, Node services, mobile apps, browser extensions, and AI-driven infrastructure.

You will own major components end-to-end, emphasize scalability and UX, and collaborate with product, design, and AI/ML teams in a hybrid San Diego setting. Strong TypeScript/React/Node/MongoDB skills and healthcare domain interest are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade systems.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB.
• Strong front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, Fetch/XHR.
• Experience with browser extensions or similar browser-integrated technologies.
• Designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with NoSQL data models.
• Ability to design clean, scalable architecture and anticipate technical challenges.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and ownership.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; willing to undergo a background check.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting; located in San Diego, CA or open to relocation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and ship features across React front-ends, Node services, iOS/Android mobile apps, browser extensions, and AI-driven infrastructure
• Own major components from design through deployment with emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and user experience
• Collaborate with product, design, AI/ML, and customer-facing teams
• Translate clinician needs into high-impact solutions
• Use advanced AI developer tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and strengthen reliability
• Contribute to internal hackathons and rapid prototyping
• Identify emerging technologies and opportunities
• Lead technical decisions and contribute to architectural strategy
• Define engineering patterns as the platform grows
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices
• Drive end-to-end ownership of key product areas
• Help build and scale new teams
