Job summary

Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on frontend development to lead the design and delivery of AI-powered experiences across web and mobile. You will own frontend architecture in React and React Native, collaborate with backend teams, and ship features in fast cycles while upholding accessibility and performance standards.

You will work closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape requirements, drive decisions, and ensure high-quality code across platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with strong frontend focus
• Deep expertise in React; React Native is a strong plus
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and feature flag-driven development; exposure to cloud platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own or co-own frontend design and delivery of AI-enabled experiences for web and mobile
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to shape requirements and trade-offs
• Ship weekly to production with daily PRs and incremental feature delivery
• Define cross-platform frontend best practices across web, iOS, and Android
• Maintain accessibility, performance, and quality through reviews and testing
• Stay current with AI model capabilities and translate into frontend value
• Partner with backend teams to define interfaces and contracts
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents
