Job summary

Box, a leader in Intelligent Content Management, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive frontend experiences for Box AI across web and mobile. You will own or co-own the design and delivery of AI-driven frontend features, focusing on React and React Native, while coordinating with backend engineers and cross-functional partners.

You will ship weekly to production, work with Product Managers and UX Designers on requirements, and set cross-platform standards across web, iOS, and Android.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with frontend focus.
• Strong expertise in React; React Native is a plus.
• Full-stack understanding to collaborate with backend teams.
• Experience shipping features across components or systems.
• Familiar with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex.

Responsibilities

• Own or co-own the design and delivery of Box AI frontend experiences across web and mobile.
• Spend ~80% of time on frontend development and 20% collaborating with backend teams.
• Define requirements alongside Product Managers and UX Designers.
• Ship weekly to production with daily PRs.
• Define cross-platform best practices for web, iOS, and Android.
• Uphold accessibility, performance, and quality through reviews and testing.
• Stay current with evolving AI model capabilities and translate to frontend changes.
• Partner with backend teams to define interfaces and contracts.
