Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to lead front-end development for mission software systems. You will guide UI/front-end teams in an agile setting, create scalable interfaces, and collaborate with UX/UI designers, system engineers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The ideal candidate is hands-on across the stack, supports the full SDLC, and helps establish coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related discipline; 12+ years of software engineering experience, with senior technical leadership expected.
Proven experience leading or mentoring software/UI/front-end teams in agile environments.
Strong proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions with component-based design.
Translate designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces across devices.
Collaborate with back-end engineers to design RESTful or GraphQL APIs and ensure data flow quality.
Contribute to full-stack efforts including backend services and deployment support.
