Job summary

GlobalSource IT, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Front-End Development to lead a Greenville-based team responsible for modern, intuitive UIs across customer-facing and internal platforms.

The role combines people leadership with strong technical expertise in React-based development, frontend architecture, accessibility, testing, and standards. You will mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and partner with Product, Design, PM, and Engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience including front-end delivery.
• 3+ years of experience managing software developers or providing technical leadership.
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, with React preferred.
• Experience leading teams delivering accessible, performant UIs and reusable components.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of frontend developers for customer-facing and internal apps.
• Own frontend delivery, prioritization, execution, and quality in collaboration with Product, Design, PM, and Eng leadership.
• Provide technical leadership across React development, frontend architecture, and system design.
• Guide modernization of legacy interfaces while balancing delivery and long-term improvements.
• Establish frontend engineering standards, reusable components, and testing practices.
• Drive consistency via shared UI patterns, component libraries, and modern practices.
• Partner with UX and Design to translate concepts into polished user experiences.
• Lead technical discussions on complex frontend challenges and trade-offs.
• Strengthen development workflows including code reviews and testing coverage.
• Mentor engineers through feedback, reviews, and career development.
