GliaCell Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, for a full-time role on a U.S. Government subcontract.

The position requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph, 12+ years of related experience, and strong front-end accessibility expertise to build compliant interfaces. You will collaborate in an Agile environment, ensure 508/WCAG compliance, and help integrate automated accessibility testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifikationen

• Experience developing front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue preferred).
• Hands-on experience testing with screen readers (JAWS) and accessibility tools.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and ARIA.
• Experience with semantic HTML, accessible form design, keyboard navigation, and focus management.
• Proficiency with accessibility testing/auditing tools (axe DevTools, WAVE, Pa11y, Lighthouse).
• Git and Agile tools (Jira/Confluence) for collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Accessible Front-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain front-end components and user interfaces that conform to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards.
• 508 Testing & Remediation: Perform comprehensive accessibility testing using JAWS and other screen readers, addressing keyboard navigation, focus management, ARIA, color contrast, and semantic HTML.
• Audit & Documentation: Conduct accessibility audits and document findings to support compliance requirements.
• Collaboration: Work with UX/UI designers, developers, and product owners to bake accessibility in by design.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated accessibility testing tools into the pipeline for continuous compliance.
• Agile Participation: Engage in sprint ceremonies and communicate accessibility tradeoffs to stakeholders.
