Job summary

CTRL + LLC is hiring a frontend accessibility engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role blends frontend development with hands-on accessibility testing to create usable mission software. Hybrid work with on-site required and occasional telework is available.

You will build accessible components, perform audits, and collaborate with design and engineering to implement WCAG-compliant interfaces across Agile teams.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant experience in frontend engineering or accessibility work.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks; Vue preferred.
• Familiarity with JAWS and assistive technologies.
• Knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2 A/AA and ARIA.
• Experience with semantic HTML, accessible forms, keyboard navigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop accessible frontend components.
• Test and remediate interfaces using JAWS and other tools.
• Conduct audits and document accessibility findings.
• Partner with designers and developers on accessible patterns.
• Integrate accessibility checks with QA and delivery workflows.
• Explain requirements and tradeoffs in Agile ceremonies.
